Land Transaction Tax

Land Transaction Tax (LTT) is the Welsh equivalent to UK's Stamp Duty tax.

On 3 March 2021, the Welsh Government announced that the temporary increase to the nil rate band of Land Transaction Tax (LTT) for residential property transactions will be extended to 30 June 2021. This temporary rise in the stamp duty threshold is from £180,000 to £250,000.

This means purchases under £250,000 will attract no Land Transaction Tax.
